The basic mission of the Niagara Police
Athletic League is Juvenile Crime Prevention accomplished by creating
better relations between police, citizens, and community youth through
a myriad of interactive programs that include the youth in positive
endeavors, athletic and non-athletic, within the community
structure. The ultimate objective being Juvenile Decency.
Based on the diversity of PAL
programming and the direct involvement of it's youth members as
community activists the entire City of Niagara Falls, as well as the
surrounding counties and cities are the audience. Niagara PAL
programming is not limited to the city limits but takes the attitude
that if there is a need or void, regardless of where, Niagara PAL will
attempt to provide resources.
Niagara PAL was founded in 1970 with the
simple philosophy of "Cops and Kids" and trying to do the right thing,
and that continues today!
Niagara PAL is more than just athletics,
with approximately 60 programs Niagara PAL is able to reach more then
23,000 youths each year. Please explore the many opportunities offered
by Niagara PAL by reviewing our Annual
Report.
For the past 40 years we have had
the opportunity
to provide services for the youths of not only our community but
yours.
