Members of the Niagara PAL Youth Forum, along with adult volunteers, serve
a continental breakfast to Santa and 110 local children. After breakfast, photos
with Santa are taken and each child receives a special gift from Santa. A
variety of craft stations are set up for the children to enjoy.
Since 2001, the Niagara PAL Youth Forum has hosted an easter egg hunt for local
children. Refreshments, crafts, an easter egg hunt, and pictures with the
easter bunny are the highlights of the day. Each child also receives a basket
of goodies from the bunny himself.
Hard work on the part of PAL volunteers has created the Halloween Spooktacular.
Carnival games were hand crafted by members. Local children enjoy the games,
refreshments, crafts, pumpkin painting, and a costume contest.
Annually, in conjunction with Niagara County Social Services,
more than 1,000 children have the opportunity to fly a kite. This is a free
program, registration on a first come basis, run at Reservoir State Park.
Each participant receives a kite, a t-shirt, a hot dog and drink, and a chance to
win various prizes.
